So, remove the gcc version constraint and allow it to follow the default gcc version. There is also no need to force companion libraries' versions anymore. The 'experimental' flag was also removed from the description as it seems to be following upstream development now. This sample has been build tested on Arch Linux and Ubuntu 14.04 hosts.
