... for the same reason SCONFIGDIR config.h macro was renamed to
SCONFIG_DIR.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| |
This way it is visibly different from the configure variable SCONFIGDIR,
which is helpful, because their values are slightly different:
the macro is quoted while the configure variable is not quoted,
and this difference may cause problems with other build systems.

While the underlying type for setting the service was correct, the
additional output neglected to include the type cast necessary when
actually printing the data. This is rectified here.

Character handling functions, like isspace(3), expect a value
representable as unsigned char or equal to EOF. Otherwise the behavior
is undefined.
See https://wiki.sei.cmu.edu/confluence/display/c/STR37-C.+Arguments+to+character-handling+functions+must+be+representable+as+an+unsigned+char

Use empty initialization of structs to minimize the memset() usage, to
reduce the amount of calls which are not sensitive.
Non trivial changes:
- pam_env:
* erase environment variables where possible
- pam_exec:
* erase responce on error
* erase auth token
- pam_pwhistory:
* erase buffers containing old passwords
- pam_selinux: skip overwriting data structure consisting of only
pointers to insensitive data, which also gets free'd afterwards (so
it currently does not protect against double-free or use-after-free on
the member pointers)
- pam_unix: erase cipher data in more places
- pam_userdb: erase password hashes

Use the vendor directory defined by --enable-vendordir=DIR configure
option as fallback for the distribution provided default config file
if there is no configuration in /etc.
* modules/pam_group/pam_group.c: Include <errno.h>.
[VENDOR_SCONFIGDIR] (VENDOR_PAM_GROUP_CONF): New macro.
(read_field): Add conf_filename argument, use it instead of PAM_GROUP_CONF.
(check_account) <conf_filename>: New variable, initialize it to
PAM_GROUP_CONF, pass it to read_field().
[VENDOR_PAM_GROUP_CONF]: Assign VENDOR_PAM_GROUP_CONF to conf_filename
when PAM_GROUP_CONF file does not exist.
* modules/pam_group/pam_group.8.xml: Describe it.

Commit summary:
---------------
2005-12-12 Dmitry V. Levin <ldv@altlinux.org>
Cleanup pam_syslog messages.
* modules/pam_env/pam_env.c (_expand_arg): Fix compiler warning.
* modules/pam_filter/pam_filter.c (set_filter): Append %m
specifier to pam_syslog messages where appropriate.
* modules/pam_group/pam_group.c (read_field): Likewise.
* modules/pam_mkhomedir/pam_mkhomedir.c (make_remark): Remove.
(create_homedir): Do not use make_remark() wrapper, call
pam_info() directly. Call pam_syslog() right after failed
operation and append %m specifier to pam_syslog messages where
appropriate.
* modules/pam_rhosts/pam_rhosts_auth.c (pam_iruserok): Replace
sequence of malloc(), strcpy() and strcat() calls with asprintf().
Append %m specifier to pam_syslog messages where appropriate.
* modules/pam_securetty/pam_securetty.c (securetty_perform_check):
Append %m specifier to pam_syslog messages where appropriate.
* modules/pam_shells/pam_shells.c (perform_check): Likewise.

Commit summary:

A little closer to supporting AIX. These changes are not all of the
suggested changes in the bug report that I will close as a result
of this checkin, but they are all the changes that I feel happy making
right now. I've avoided some of the more gratutitous changes, hoping
that the submitter will reevaluate what they need in the light of what
I have committed here.

Commit summary:
---------------
Added pam_time/pam_group fixes for infinite loop when reading
'\\[^\n]' in their config files and also added support for '/'.
The latter makes both of these modules support modern tty handling.

Purpose of commit: autoconf support for Linux-PAM
Commit summary:
---------------
This is a merge of the autoconf support that was developed against
a 0-72 branch.
[Note, because CVS has some issues, this is actually only 95% of
the actual commit. The other files were actually committed when
the preparation branch Linux-PAM-0-73pre-autoconf was updated.
Hopefully, this will complete the merge.]
